- define the end date of your campaign – after the date popups will no longer open automatically
- filter users that are already subscribed – no point in showing them the same OptIn again
- filter users that are logged in or logged out – great for getting people to create an account on your site
- limit total number of times each user can see a popup – if they haven’t subscribed after 3rd time they probably won’t
- show a popup only on the home page, or only on archive pages, or only on search pages
- limit popup only to certain page, post, or category – precise targeting will get you more subscribers
- trigger popups on page load, or a couple of seconds later
